Description
How to Stay Independent
Independent practices are looking for ways to stay independent. It is important to align yourself with the right organizations to win as an independent physician or small group. This session will discuss strategic partnerships: Accountable Care Organization’s (ACO’s), Independent Physician Associations (IPA’s), Accounting & Finance, and Billing & Collections. We will also discuss income and expense management. How it relates to what you do daily, what procedures you perform, scheduling patients, key performance indicators, and whether inside billing or outside billing works best for you and why.
Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women
Since the publication of the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) findings in 2002 the management of menopause and the use of hormone therapy in
woman has been shrouded in misconceptions and controversy. This session will review the physiology of menopause and the role of estrogen in the human female. Additionally, the findings of the WHI study will be reviewed and a rational strategy for the hormonal management of menopause will be presented.
